The Science of Green Tea
Has a new vitamin been discovered for the first time in half a century?
An article about the discovery of a new vitamin that was made by the Institute of Physical and Chemical Research (Saitama Prefecture) for the first time in a half century was published by “Nature” magazine in Great Britain.

The vitamin, called pyrrolo-quinoline quinone (PQQ) is one of the essential amino acids and is essential for the breakdown of lysine. Although it is not produced by the body, it can be consumed by eating foods such as green tea, natto (fermented soybeans), parsley and green peppers.

Experimentation with lab rats has shown that rats that have not been given PQQ demonstrate a decline in their reproductive capacity and neglect their offspring. In the case of both humans and mice, an unbalanced diet over an extended period of time is thought to result in a decline in reproductive capacity due to a nutritional deficiency.
If sufficient data relating to this nutritional deficiency is submitted to the World Health Organization (WHO) and they recognize PQQ as a new vitamin, it will become the 14th vitamin and will be the most recent vitamin to be discovered in the last half century.

What is the best method for preparing green tea that will ensure the full benefits that it has to offer?
The constituents that do not dissolve easily in water (approximately 70%) are left in the tea dregs. That means that we need to come up with a way to effectively utilize these tea dregs. The high-grade fine powdered green tea, “Tokiwa Midori” that can be purchased at Greenpia Makinohara is a nutritional supplement that fully utilizes the effectiveness of tea. It also contains plenty of theanine so the constituents of the tea can realize their full potential and flavor.
Next is provided instructions for smart tea preparation using “Tokiwa Midori” called “the method for drinking tea that fights for health” is introduced.
